(Fun fact, the ALH tune for the US version has a flaw in the atmospheric pressure boost limit map, that may allow your turbo to go up to 21psi+ at high altitudes. I installed a Stage 3 chip and the difference is very noticeable. I was getting ready to get mine tuned at a shop, but I looked into how much info is available from Europe. Takes logging to get it to the best area, but the satisfaction of doing it myself was immensely wonderful. This stage 3 upgrade kit is designed to fool the computer and trigger greater horsepower, torque and acceleration. Learned it a couple of weeks ago, and after 4 flashes (modified 9 maps from original), I'm getting massive power (~16.7psi max on turbo), slightly better mpg, and low smoke. No removing or taking apart your ECU is needed. I did that and began with the 110hp OEM tune for the ASV engine (identical to ALH using this tune as a base means it is extremely low risk), and tweaked according to my wishes. That and someone made a free software to help with EDC15 ecu tuning, with all the addresses (mostly all of them, EGR was wrong) linked. I have to drive about hundred and fifty miles driving on it before it kicks in. If you're good with computers, can understand the basics of hex, have VCDS (for logging), and read a lot of documents and instructions, you can tune it yourself for around $50 (cost of a cable, plus software to read ECU) as many times as you want. Ill be posting another video about the Thorton chip tuning soon.
